How to maintain healthy skin
Maintaining a beautiful, youthful and healthy skin is everyone’s desire. However, many neglect their health due to their hectic fast paced lifestyle and it reflects on skin in the form of dullness and pale skin color. Without spending too much time on skin care or money on expensive beauty products, there are ways to maintain beauty and to revitalize the lost glow of your skin. So here’s how to maintain healthy skin:
Instructions
Wash your face — Washing face at night is crucial before returning to bed. Cleansing at night, reduces the chance of acne breakouts, helps skin to repair itself and allows anti-ageing and moisturizing creams to penetrate better. The skin undergoes regeneration at night and it makes sense to remove all make up before retiring to bed.
Drink water
The simplest step to gain beautiful and supple skin that is no longer dry or flaky, is to drink plenty of water. Drinking water prevents it from dehydration. So, nourish your skin by drinking at least 6 to 8 glasses of water daily.
Watch what you eat
Cut down junk and oily food and add more fresh fruits, green-leafy vegetables and sufficient fiber to diet for a healthy skin. Load up your diet with plenty of fresh fruits and veggies and make sure to include at least three different veggies and two fruits to counter the effect of free radicals. Red or orange fruits and veggies are rich sources of beta carotene, which gets converted to Vitamin A inside the body. Plenty of Vitamin A helps repair and growth of tissues and prevents skin from harmful effects of UV light.
Avoid too much sun exposure
Skin burns can occur when the body is exposed to too much sun. Our body needs just 10 min of exposure few times a week for sufficient supply of vitamin D. If you need to be out in the sun during the day, wear a hat and use good sunscreen of SPF 30 or more.
Exercise
Exercise does not only keep the body fit by regulating the oxygen levels, it also helps adding glow to your skin by boosting blood circulation. Exercise increases sweating, it unclogs pores and prevents even acne breakouts. Overall, exercise adds better complexion to skin.
Cut down stress, take rest
There is no better way to rejuvenate the skin than to take 6-8 hours of undisturbed sleep. Skin flares happen when body is under stress and it is especially true for individuals with acne breakouts. Stress can’t be avoided, but by changing the way you deal with it, you can gain better looking skin.
