How to make no bake oatmeal peanut butter cookies
Cookies are fun to make and wonderful to eat. Sometimes you’re stuck without any time to make a few dozen cookies for school snacks, soccer games treats or house guests. Making the cookie dough can be time consuming along with having to stay by the oven to watch them bake so you don’t burn them.
This recipe will free you up, meet your cookie quota and satisfy almost everyone. Kids can help with this recipe, too, as there is no need for an oven. So with less preparation time, no baking time, and more help from you children, you will want to keep this one as your favorite recipe.
Instructions
Gather together and measure out all your ingredients. Having them all near you will make it easier as you proceed through the recipe steps.
In a medium sauce pan over low heat, add the sugar, milk, vanilla and butter. Set the heat for medium and stir your ingredients so that the sugar is «wet» from the milk.
The sugar, milk, and vanilla will combine together quickly, but the butter usually takes a few more minutes. Continue to keep stirring the mixture. When you see that is boiling, you need to set your timer for 2 minutes.
After two minutes, remove the pan from the heat immediately. As quickly as you can, add in the oatmeal and peanut butter.
Lay out your parchment paper or wax paper on a flat surface. Scoop up a large spoonful of cookie mixture.
