How to apply makeup
After choosing the ideal man, the desired dress and a perfect wedding plan, it is time for a wonderful bridal makeup. Playing one of the most important roles in your look, it should be very carefully chosen. It is important to look beautiful, so you would be good to also consult a makeup artist.
People say that the bride is the center of a wedding’s attention. When someone is watching you, you always want to look your best. With the aid of makeup artists, your bridal makeup can be the perfect one. Forwards are some tips for a durable and good looking makeup. It’s reported that nothing compares with a blushing bride.
First, the skin has always to be clean. A good makeup can easily be applied on a clean skin. Weeks before the wedding, you should drink a lot of water. If you have an oily skin, make sure you avoid dour skin treatments; they can easily increase the oil amount in your skin. You should experiment with makeup to find the look that fits to you. Also, if you are used to have facials, get your last one on the last week before wedding. Even if you do not use lip balm, a bridal makeup requires it.
Before you start the makeup application, make sure to apply a little bit of moisturizer with 15-20 minutes before. The makeup is influenced by the weather conditions, season and other external factors. That’s why, in case of a waterfall of tears, you should use an oily makeup. To end the foundation, use face powder.
For a resistant blushing, a powder-based blush is recommended.
In the day of the wedding, you should not apply any makeup to your brows. Anyway, it is recommended to apply the eye color and a neutral shadow after putting on shadow primer. This tip can make your bridal makeup look more natural. For brightening a little your eyelids, use an eye shadow base. After that, apply two layers of waterproof mascara, having few seconds pause between, to avoid eventually incidents.
Take into account that you will kiss a lot of people. So you should use a very resistant lipstick. Moreover, it has to fit eye and hair color, same as the lip liner. You should always outline your lips first and then fill them with color. For a longer durability, use balm, lacquer or primer and apply the lipstick with a lip brush. You should apply two layers, for resistance.
The wedding is a day you will remember for the rest of your life, so pictures and video will be the things that will make you remind. Finding you beautiful and radiant will make you happy for ever.
The best way to apply makeup is NATURALLY. honestly, no body thinks that its beautiful to wear too much makeup!
makeup really depends on your skin tone, but, for right now, I will just be general.
there are many things that are required to wear makeup the right way!
fat thick makeup brush
thin eyeshadow brush
small, stiff brush
black kohl eyeliner
black no clump mascara
some natural (shimmer is nice) eyeshadow
concealer (one shade lighter than your skin tone)
foundation (match your skin tone exactly)
eyebrow filler (should be one shade darker than eyebrow hair)
Start off by applying concealer over any blemishes or scars. then, use your foundation over your whole face. this helps to even out the skin tone. make sure that the concealer and foundation are both blended in. if they aren’t, the makeup will look caked on and it is unsightly. next, using your fat brush, apply blush. the blush should be light pink. remember, we want natural. apply the blush only to the apples of your cheeks. the apples of your cheeks are the part of your cheeks that is raised when you smile really big. then, fill in any holes in your eyebrows. eyebrows make a HUGE difference on your face, so they have to be beautiful too! eyeliner can be a very tricky thing. a lot of people wear far too much. eyeliner was originally made to make the lashline appear thicker. so with a very thin line, line the upper lashline. then, for the bottom, very lightly, go along the lashline halfway from the outside corner of your eye to the inside. next, apply eyeshadow. eyeshadow should only go on the lid. not under the eyebrow, that looks ridiculous. next curl your lashes. it is important that you curl before you apply mascara, or else you risk losing lashes. when you apply your mascara, do 3 quick strokes on top and one quick stroke on the bottom. finish off with a bit of lip gloss/stick and you will be stunning!
One thing that you must be careful of, is using makeup that you see on models and in magazines. that is show makeup. it is not meant to be worn everyday. the main purpose of makeup is to ENHANCE your beauty! not look like a clown! so be really careful, because no matter what your purpose for wearing makeup is, it needs to be natural. its the only way.
There is no set way to apply make up, however I feel that after what seems like a million trial and errors, I’ve finally found a way that keeps my make-up looking nice and staying put all day!
I start by slicking on a bit of moisturizer the night before so that my skin is soft and supple and the make-up will stay on the surface rather than sinking into my face. In the morning, I start by reapplying another small bit of moisturizer but rather than rubbing it into my face, I wipe it off again. This stops the soak-age of the foundation into your face but also ensures the foundation doesn’t clot.
I use a bit of concealer on the problem areas of my skin, namely the cracked capillaries at the base of my nose, under my eyes, on the eyelids and anywhere the skin appears red. This differs for everyone but you will know where to apply it by looking in the mirror. Always remember that the concealer is not for all over your face. Its merely used to give the illusion of no blemishes or bags under the eyes etc. It should only be used where its needed or it will look like you’ve piled your make-up on with a garden trowel!
Personally I use a liquid foundation because I’ve noticed that compact foundations like Elizabeth Arden tend to look very heavy and caked.
I find Maybelline Everfresh Liquid Foundation is brilliant. Its just the right consistency and also contains spf 15 which is good for the sunny (but rare!) days we get in Ireland.
A common mistake people make is thinking that you need a foundation brush to apply a liquid foundation. I use my fingers and they spread it just as evenly as a brush would. I’m also against them as they are a carrier of bacteria and can cause blemishes if they are not washed very regularly. Something not many people will have time to do!
So, to put on the foundation, put a blob of it on the back of your hand. From there, I dot it under my eyes, and blend it into my skin using light circular motions. Dot some more on the next area of the face keeping in mind that its easier to blend working from the inside of the face (by the nose) outwards.
i use a powder blusher as mousse/cream ones dint suit me and I’m not a fan of shine. I use a light compacted bronzer to highlight my cheeks. Bronzer also suits every skin tone no matter how light. For this I use a blusher brush. Sweep the brush over the bronzer once or twice. To get rid of the excess powder on the brush blow lightly or tap the brush handle off your hand. Then smile and where the face rises i.e: the apples of the cheeks is where the blusher should go. Less is more, and by using a small bit at a time, you can build it up to a shade you like.
Once you have this on, and you are happy with it, I then use a translucent powder. This right here is your secret weapon! It keeps the make-up in place and also blots out any shine. It can also be used every few hours and it won’t build up or look caked on. I use a big powder brush for this.
Thats the basics of putting on the make-up for the whole face. If your putting on and eyeshadow, that is the next step. Remember that an eyeshadow brush is necessary if you want the professional look. Be subtle with whatever color you chose and always blend it right into the socket of the eye but not over it. If your using an eye liner, I’d recommend putting it on in pencil first and then going over it with a liquid one. I’ve been putting it on since I was 11 so I have quite a steady hand, but I always do the pencil first just in case. Practice makes perfect! To highlight the eyes even further, put a white shadow just below the brow line. It really makes them pop! Finally, its time for mascara. Id recommend, from personal experience that you apply mascara looking down on a mirror as there’s less of a chance that it’ll end up on your eyelids. I use a combed mascara over a brush because I’ve found that a comb separates the lashes and stops clumping and spider lashes completely.
Last but not least is your lips. The color you’ve used on your eyes will determine what you should use on your lips. I’d go for a gloss, because I think lipsticks are quite dated and hard to maintain during the day. A nude or brown colored gloss goes perfectly with almost any look. But you will know by trial and error.
Remember, these things don’t just come to you, it may take a few times of trying before you get it perfect. It’s worth it though so keep practicing and once you’ve got the basics, don’t be afraid to try new things!
